Celebrates the afternoons when our living room became the neighborhood’s very own concert stage.
Because my mother worked, the neighborhood kids often gathered at our house. We played records and imagined ourselves performing in a real band. Someone played the piano, another took over the organ, and others grabbed the cornet or clarinet. There was always a singer holding something shaped like a microphone.
Jim’s favorite instrument was our mother’s folding rack for hanging freshly ironed clothes. When opened, it resembled a guitar, and in his imagination, that was exactly what it became.
The front artwork captures our make-believe band surrounded by dark wood paneling and red shag carpeting. A flowing trail of vintage musical notes carries the music across the back.
Look closely to discover a hidden butterfly and the signature “N” woven into the designs.
This nostalgic hoodie honors the music, laughter, and imagination that filled the house whenever the parents were gone.
